Job Description

Geographic Location – Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering analysis on assigned programs to support Government Project Managers (PMs), functional support staff, and Integrated Process Teams (IPTs) to accomplish product goals.
  • Conduct systems engineering process analysis and provide input to leadership (i.e., PM and lead test engineer), including:
    • Identify and define required tests
    • Monitor test coverage
    • Evaluate overall quality experienced
    • Specify the required test data
    • Evaluate the outcome of the testing conducted in each test cycle
    • Provide feedback and input to program functional IPTs, IPRs, milestone decisions, and required program updates
  • Provide program and strategic planning, including development of system requirements, sustainment strategies, and project plans.
  • Perform risk and engineering analysis for assigned programs.
  • Develop and provide comments on high-level documents (e.g., requirements documents, Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), Systems Engineering Plans and Systems Evaluation Plans (SEPs), Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test plans, Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs), Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Configuration Management Plan (CMPs), etc.).
  • Translate program requirements into language for a Performance Specification (PSpec), Statement of Work (SOW), and associated Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) for material solution solicitations.
  • Prepare briefings for command-level reviews using Microsoft Office Suite products.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline and 8 years of general experience plus 5 years of directly relevant systems engineering experience in support of Chemical and or Biological Defense programs preferably working with sensors and/or detectors; OR
  • Associate’s degree or professional certificate in Engineering or a related discipline and 10 years of general experience plus 7 years of directly relevant systems engineering experience in support of Chemical and or Biological Defense programs preferably working with sensors and/or detectors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Security Clearance

Active security clearance at the Secret level required at time of hire.
